This is the Asus NX90JQ. It is not your regular laptop in most ways, some of which I will mention now:
- There are TWO touchpads, none of which are below the keyboard. They're placed on each side of the keyboard, respectively left and right. Hence although this is an 18.3" laptop, it does not have a num-pad.
- It has a much better sound-system than most laptops, and that's mostly what's in focus with this laptop. I've been told it has a good bass, in addition to decent surround-virtualization. Sounds good!
However, the screen isn't that good -- according to recent reviews. And for me, the screen is quite important. Especially when buying such an expensive laptop, the screen should at least be half good.
Anyways, I think, for me, this laptop is a bit too big. I don't need as much performance as Asus has packed into this, so I'm still on the lookout..
What do you guys think? Will this laptop sell?
That looks like some kind of weird inverted laptop. I don't want one. Well, if you give me one I'll accept :P
ReplyDeleteIt looks nice, but what are the other specs
ReplyDeleteLooks nice indeed
ReplyDeleteinteresting idea with the touchpads
ReplyDeleteIt will sell because there are no "bad" screens on laptops - they're basically the same, and nobody uses a 18" laptop in the yard, staying in the sun. So yeah, it's a good concept, even if it lacks in screen quality (which i'm sure is not that bad).
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it will sell. The touch pads on the side, I really dig too.
ReplyDeletemmm i don't think
ReplyDeleteits nice but kinda big
does no interest me.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, bro! Waiting for more updates from you
ReplyDeleteDoesn't look like it is going to become famous. For me, HPs Envy Series is the best solution right now.
ReplyDeleteDepends on the price I guess.
ReplyDeletelike there aren't enough computers in the world.
ReplyDeletesure looks interesting!
ReplyDeletetwo touchpads? sounds kind a cool i must say!
looks cool and same i think if it has a crappy screen why get it ya know
ReplyDeleteit looks like it would be a pain in the butt to close, but I am all for advancing laptops to the next level. I can't convince anybody to buy a normal desktop PC anymore.
ReplyDeleteMake its name start with an 'i' and it will sell like freshly-baked bread.
ReplyDeleteLooks interesting, but I don't think I would by it.
ReplyDeletei like being able to touch the screen! if i had money i would probably buy one!
ReplyDeleteWow that looks really strange,I like it though
ReplyDeletekind of defeats the purpose of having a laptop
ReplyDeleteI would buy it if it were the last laptop ever.
ReplyDeletethats a nice laptop
ReplyDeleteThe sound might make up for it.. but I still think a stationary computer is the best bet ^^
ReplyDeleteIt looks interesting. We will have to wait and see.
ReplyDeleteIf I saw one unattended by someone, I'd steal it.
ReplyDeleteawesome, I have to agree here!
ReplyDeletecouldn't ever use a laptop without numpad.
ReplyDeletenice, they look awesome.
ReplyDeletegreat post
ReplyDeletegreat post
ReplyDeleteASUS makes okay products, but you always get a great price.
ReplyDeleteLooks great, but I'm not really a laptop lover
ReplyDeleteinteresting idea. I think it is a small market though
ReplyDeleteI havent seen any new posts man.
ReplyDeletelegit! Keep them coming.
ReplyDeletei find laptops too unreliable. =)
ReplyDeletethat is one slick looking laptop
ReplyDeleteit will probably not sell that much, unless they have a good marketing strategy
ReplyDeleteI think it will sell by desing. Look at it!
ReplyDeleteI don't generally like ASUS but this looks interesting
ReplyDeleteI do not like the case for it, but it is a powerful piece of machinery.
ReplyDeletewell i was looking for a new laptop i guess and im seriously thinking about getting this one
ReplyDeleteI would take a free one but would rather spend my cash on a standard asus laptop.
ReplyDeletecool story bro
ReplyDeleteNice read, thanks. Being a laptop and PC techie is my job so I enjoyed this :)
